While the field trial season is actually still in full swing, the year 2022 has come to a close.  It was a successful season both for dogs trained/handled by Outcast Kennels and for dogs that have been bred here and ran by their owners as well.  The following are some of the placements -

Stardust Outcast Coco (CH Woodville's Yukon Cornelius x Outcast Stardust) - 3rd place NBHA Jerry Kilgore Puppy Classic, 2nd ABHA Central Regional CH Open Derby, 1st NBHA Elkhorn Bird Dog Club Open Derby.

Boatright's Maverick (CH Rufus Del Fuego x Outcast Starburst)- 1st ABHA Central Regional CH Open Derby, RU- ABHA National Derby Classic, 2nd NBHA Elkhorn Bird Dog Club Open Derby, 2nd NBHA Licking River Bird Dog Club Open Derby.  As well as awarded the 2021-2022 Kentucky Open Puppy Of The Year.

Boatright's Texas Tornado (CH T's Nickleback x Wynona's Islander Marigold)- 1st ABHA Rolling Fork Bird Dog Club Open Derby.  2021-2022 ABHA Open Walking Derby Of The Year and 2021-2022  Kentucky Open Derby Of The Year.

Outcast Bar Hopper (CH Boumeester's Duramax x Outcast Bar None)- 3rd NBHA Elkhorn Bird Dog Club Open Derby.

The planned last breeding of Outcast Stardust to CH Rufus Del Fuego unfortunately did not take.  We will re-evaluate if we will breed her fall of 2023.  We have announced our other 4 litters for 2023.  A possible 5th litter may be announced as well, so stay tuned!

The Bluegrass Walking Shooting Dog Club hosted a trial on our grounds this summer, the weekend of September 12th.  In addition to judging a couple stakes, we also placed Outcast Apollo (RU-CH Erin's Prometheus X Outcast Stardust) 3rd in the Open Shooting Dog stake for owner John Edstrom.  It was a fun time, we look forward to hosting another trial next summer.
